Why are star wars audio books abridged fiction ?

I recently downloaded the audio book Star Wars: Courtship of Princess Leia from iTunes and saw that it was abridged. Looking at the rest of the audio books on iTunes I saw that all of the star wars books are abridged. Why is that?By: niv_bpAbout the Author:Lionel
